Does ISO 42001 Take Over a Month to Implement?
Ideally, yes. While the process can be shorter, it depends on your company, its size, and how you are working with your AI system. For instance, is it handling multiple tasks? Or is it working with only one, such as data collection or sorting?
In case you are a company developing your AI system as you go through ISO 42001, this makes it easier to achieve compliance, but it may take a bit over a month when working through the project from scratch, including how you have to adjust your system and bring new policies.
On average, ISO 42001 takes about two months. For large companies, the process can be slower or faster depending on the number of audits needed and how we have built a process through implementation.
Smaller companies can usually have ISO 42001 compliance done in about a month if no major issues are present or if from few to no corrective actions are needed.
